My first 2 days in Paris!

I arrived in Paris on April 28, 2009 at 0615. I am very excited for this trip for several reasons, first this will be the first time in seven years that I will be able to meet my good friend Jimmy Nilsson who graciously invited me to visit Paris! Secondly, this is my first time in almost 10 years to be able to visit a European country again, the first trip I had was in Oslo, Norway way back in September of 1999. Lastly and I guess one of the special reasons that brought me to Paris is being able to share with Swedish students about the Filipino heritage and the situation of children in a third world country... the excitement of being able to teach a young group again (children age 8 -1 12 years old) reminds me of the good old days I had when I used to work with the Philippine National Red Cross.

Immediately after my arrival in Paris, Jimmy was able to give me a tour along Champse Elyssee which eventually leads to the famous Arc de Triomphe! Had a chance to meet people from the Swedish church, and then the next day, took a bus tour around Paris! My second day there (first day of bus tour) was spent touring the Musee de Louvre or shall I say "A PART" of the museum... The building is soooo huge it will be impossible to view all art works in one trip! My goal for the day is to see the famous work of art of Leonardo da Vinci... the Monalisa... it was an art I have known to love all my life simply because it registered my mind because my mom sings us lullabyes with her favorite song "Monalisa"... the rest of the art work are already a BONUS for me... The next few days were full of adventure and fun and I owe this to Jimmy and his friends! Thank you guys for the wonderful welcome!
